Meeting New Friends

Yesterday we went to the home of one of his co-workers.  We BBQed some traditional Dutch food, had some delicious wine, and learned about some ins and outs of the Dutch culture.  The family also had two boys right about the ages of our kids so the children had a grand time teaching each other about our native languages.  Rob and Claudia gave us an amazing book called The UnDutchables.  It's a quite humorous book about the culture, life, and traditions within The Netherlands.  One thing that the children loved was sharing their DSi games with each other.  Ours thought it was neat to play some Dutch games and vice versa.   Visiting at Rob and Claudia's house was one of the perks of being here for so long.  It wasn't a tourist experience that you would read about in a travel book!
