Lazy Day

Today was a lazy day for myself and the kids.  We slept in, stayed in our PJs, and relaxed for a good portion of the day.   Well the kids relaxed and momma cleaned, did laundry, and began researching for our upcoming trip to Paris.   This evening we ate our amazingly delicious rib-eye steaks from our neighbors (their welcome gift to us) and then went on a walk through town.

Next week, there is a HUGE walk that is taking place so tents, grand stands, time clocks, and bathrooms are being set up all over the town.   The main road was shut down this evening so now our road is getting much more traffic than we typically do.  The work ethic is incredible.  Huge giant structures are assembled within hours and these men seem to be working almost around the clock.  When we went out at  7 tonight, there were still people out there assembling.  Roads that I ran down yesterday are now lined with giant tents.  We are very excited to experience the walk event next week.

While out walking tonight, we went down to the water and walked out on a jetty.  There were quite a few big boats in the harbor this evening.  We then ventured to our favorite area in the town centre.  The kids had ice cream from our favorite place and mom and dad sat and enjoyed cold beverages.  I think that by the end of the summer the kids will have tried every flavor of ice cream that this parlor carries!

Tomorrow's agenda - more Paris planning, a trip to the grocery store for rolls for Roman, and going to feed the ducks in the lake.
